“Nelson (the owner) went out of his way to set up a private tour of Uxmal, haciendas, and a cenotes (and on very short notice at that!) The staff in general was so wonderful and attentive, helping us with whatever we needed. The hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful—full of color and gardens. I appreciate that a guest receives a key to the room, and a key to enter from the street. This added level of security gave me additional comfort and peace of mind. The location is perfect—easy waking distance to parques, plazas, and charming markets.”

Their restaurant serves some of the best vegan food we've ever had with a different menu every night. The rooms are spacious and clean. The perfect place to come home to in the evening.”

“Beautiful hotel with 2 courtyards and a second story patio. Perfect location near downtown Mérida. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, easily the best free breakfast at a hotel I have ever had. We also ate dinner there one night and it was equally delicious. Very friendly staff. I can't wait to return to MedioMundo next time I am in Mérida!”

“My wife and I stayed here for two weeks, as the local coronavirus epidemic was just starting. I can't say enough good about the kindness, graciousness, and hard work of the owners and staff. It's a beautiful small hotel in a very walkable neighborhood, and they are taking the pandemic very seriously. The excellent small vegan restaurant in their courtyard has remained open for takeout and delivery with reduced hours, which has given me the chance to visit the hotel many times over the past few months, and to watch and discuss as they have prepared to reopen. They are committed to the health and well-being of both staff and guests, and I recommend them without hesitation.”

“Comfortable clean private economical in safe quiet location relatively close to old center and community parks. Highly recommend for English speaking seniors who seek relaxation. Strictly vegan meals that are delicious and original, with middle eastern garnishes and spreads. Excellent staff in Spanish and English with helpful ideas of things to see and enjoy. Comfortable patios and peaceful.”

The rooms are so bright and colorful and the entire building feels like an oasis from the heat. I loved the pool, the fountains, and all of the seating areas.
